Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 24th, 2026
MAQIR ("we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, create an account, use our software applications, or use our services.
By using MAQIR, you consent to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide Directly: When you create an account, you provide your email address and a password (which is securely hashed — we never see or store the plain text password). If you subscribe to a paid plan or make a one-time purchase, payment details are handled directly by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe). MAQIR does not receive or store your credit card or banking information.
We also collect any information you submit via feedback forms, support requests, or other correspondence.
b. Information We Collect Automatically: IP address, browser type, device info, usage data (e.g., pages visited, feature usage), and cookies or similar tracking technologies.
c. Desktop and Mobile Application Data: When you use a MAQIR software application, we may collect device identifiers and hardware fingerprints for the purpose of license activation and validation. This data is used solely to verify your license and enforce device limits. Application logs are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly share them with us for support purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and maintain services, personalize your experience, process payments, validate software licenses, communicate with you, improve our products, and detect fraud or abuse. We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Your Information
- Payment Processing: Stripe processes payments on our behalf and receives only the data necessary to complete transactions.
- License Management: We use a third-party licensing service to manage software license activation and validation. This service receives device identifiers and license keys to verify your license status.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law.
- Business Transfers: Your data may transfer in case of merger, acquisition, or sale.
4. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may access, correct, delete, or restrict your data. You may also opt out of marketing. To exercise rights, contact us at support@maqir.com.
5. Cookies and Tracking
MAQIR uses cookies that are essential to the functionality of our service, including authentication cookies (such as JWT tokens) that allow you to log in and access your dashboard when those features are available. These cookies are required for secure access and cannot be disabled. We also store a small number of preferences (such as your light or dark theme choice and your cookie consent choice) in your browser's local storage; these stay on your device and are not sent to us. The only non-essential cookies on this site come from Google Analytics, and they are set only if you choose Accept All on our cookie notice (see Section 6). You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling required cookies may prevent you from using certain parts of the service.
6. Analytics and Telemetry
This website uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic, but only with your consent. On your first visit we show a cookie notice; Google Analytics loads and sets its cookies (such as _ga) only if you choose Accept All. If you choose Deny All, or simply never answer, no analytics run and no tracking cookies are set. Your choice is stored in your browser and we do not ask again. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser and the notice will reappear. Analytics data is processed by Google LLC; see Google's privacy policy for details. If we introduce optional telemetry in any software application, you will be notified and given the ability to opt out.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information while your account is active or as needed for legal, operational, or security reasons.
8. Data Security
We implement security measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure. Please use MAQIR at your own risk.
9. International Users
If you access MAQIR from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.
10. Children's Privacy
MAQIR is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will provide notice (via email or website notice). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
